The Maxwells are a back-to-basics rock-n-roll trio from
Springfield, Missouri. They were formed in January, 2007 out of
an urgent need and desire to keep alive the music of the pioneers
of rock-n-roll! Most of the music they cover is from the late 40's
to the early 60's and includes rockabilly, boogie, swing, blues and
country. From Louis Jordan to Elvis Presley, Johnny Burnette to
Chuck Berry, Hank Williams to Bo Diddley, this is one FUN
BAND! They also have a growing list of original music to go right
along with the oldies.
All three members have been performing professionally most
of their lives, honing their skills and piling up many years of
experience. They are Les Gallier: Guitar/Vocals, David "Slim"
Sowers: Upright Bass/Vocals, and Dave Camey: Drums/Vocals.
In this increasingly complicated world of techno gizmos, The
Maxwells are keepin' it simple with small amps, stripped down
drums, and lots of echo! These guys can't wait to play because
good ol' rockin' music is what makes them happy. Everybody
needs an old fashioned rock-n-roll fix from time to time, so get up
